Scroll down for Packet Pick Up and Race Day InfoThe Hero's Half Marathon is a unique race that will feature a half road course and half trail course. The road course will leave Downtown Dayton and head West towards the Laurel/Snow State Natural Area, where it will continue through the park's area onto the trail leading to Laurel Falls. There will be a turnaround at the falls where you will be given a token to bring back to the finish line as proof of completion. We will have an aid station at the parking area as well as along the road course for the runners. There will be Portable Potties at the start/finish line and the trail station.
The 5K will be your typical 5K through Downtown Dayton which offers a flat course that is fast as well as scenic, (if
fast isn't for you).
The one mile fun/run is also available for everyone, children included in order to provide a fun time for the entire family. The race is hosted by Golden Eagle Outfitters and proceeds will be given to the Disabled American Veterans, so please come out and enjoy this day with us!

Packet Pick up:
Friday, August 12th: day before the race from 10 AM to 6 PM at Golden Eagle Outfitters.
OR
Saturday, August 13th: from 6 AM to 6:55AM at Golden Eagle Outfitters in front of the store.

Packet Pick Up for Friday will be inside the store and Saturday will be outside the store.
Friday starts from 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday starts from 6 AM to 6:55 AM
The Start/Finish line will be in front of the store, on the left side of the road. (look for the timing system)
6:00 AM to 6:55 AM - packet pick up

7:00 AM - half marathon starts
7:30 AM - 5K starts
8:15 AM - 1 mile starts
8:45 AM - 5K awards (near start/finish)
9:30 AM - half marathon awards (near start/finish)
The course will be marked with signs and is an out and back. The half marathon will turn around at laurel falls. There will be volunteers at the turn around point.
The 5k and 1 mile will go out and loop back. There will be volunteers along the course by every turn.
For the Half Marathon there will be two aid stations placed throughout the course and third one by store. We are asking for the half marathon runner to carry some form of hydration with them during the race.
